Seven Days with Pope Francis: April 22 – April 28

See Pope Francis and hear his own words for Earth Day, his homily for the ordination of nine priests on Good Shepherd Sunday, his audience with a group of Poor Clares, and his reflection on Christian meditation during the General Audience on Wednesday.

With the image of Christ, the Good Shepherd who lays down His life, the high point of the Holy Father’s last seven days in service to the Church was the ordination of priests which took place on the Altar of the Confession in St Peter’s Basilica.

Pope Francis held several audiences this past week: with the Poor Clare nuns from Pagànica, Italy; Lebanon’s Prime Minister designate; and a water polo team from Liguori.

The Pope once again reflected on prayer during the General Audience on Wednesday. This time he explained Christian meditation as a method of prayer and a way in which we can come into contact with the Risen Lord, the Living Word of God.
