Pope in Angelus: For 2021 to be a good year, let’s take care of others a little more

In this Sunday’s Angelus, the Pope recalled that the good progress of the new year does not depend on luck. In order for everything to go well, he proposed, in addition to praying, that each one give the best of himself.

FRANCISCO
“We don’t know what awaits us in 2021, but what each and everyone together can do is commit a little more to caring for others and for creation.”

According to the Pope, things will go better if we all work together for the common good, putting the weakest and most disadvantaged at the center. For this reason, he warned of the temptation to worry only about his own interests.

FRANCISCO
“In one country, I don’t remember which one, to escape from confinement and have a good vacation, in one afternoon more than 40 airplanes left. But those people, who are good people, didn’t they think of those who stayed at home, In the economic problems of so many people that the confinement has caused, in the sick? They thought only of vacations and doing what they like. That made me very sad. “

The Pope also reflected on the Gospel this Sunday. There, John uses the expression “the Word of God became flesh” because God wanted to participate in our fragility.

FRANCISCO
“God became flesh to tell us, to tell you, that he loves you there, that he loves us there, in our frailties, in your frailties; there, in what we are most ashamed of, what you feel most ashamed of ”.

Before leaving, the Pope sent a special blessing to families who have young children and who are expecting a child in these weeks. He said that every birth is a promise of hope.
