ST. AUGUSTINE’S P.Y.C HOLDS 2020 CHORAL CONCERT

As part of activities to prepare the youth ahead of the Christmas festivities, the Parish Youth Council of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ashaiman, in the Tema Battor Deanery, has organised a worship programme dubbed, “Moment in Worship 2020, Choral Edition.”

Speaking at the worship service, the Youth Chaplain of the Parish, Rev. Fr. Ergidius Binsasi, SVD, charged the youth to remain steadfast in their worship; a sure way to enjoy the favour of God. He added that the youth should be cautious and stay focus on their daily activities ahead of the Christmas activities, especially in this era of COVID-19.

In an interview with a member of the Planning Committee, Mr. Francis Inkoom said, the twist from the usual activities to choral was to appreciate the choral songs which to him were more enriched with a deeper understanding of faith than some contemporary songs.

The event formed part of the annual activities of the Parish Youth Council’s end-of-year spiritual exercise and was under the theme, “With Praise and Thanksgiving, They Sang to the Lord…” Ezra 3:11.
